Steven Tyler

Steven TylerAfter a brief stint on the Boston club circuit under the tutelage of their manager at first, Frank Connelly, the band began to work with New York managers Steve Leber and David Krebs. The band's debut album, called "Eponymous", was released in the year 1973. They got a recording contract in 1972. The album was later followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which led Aerosmith into international fame and recognition. These albums are the origin of legendary hits such as "Dream on", Walk This Way, and "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's initial five albums have been multi-platinum in all of them, as well as Toys in the Attic and Rocks are thought to be among the top hard rock albums of all time. The group began to experience the effects of the hectic life of touring, recording as well as living together, and also using substances as the decade progressed. Tyler and Perry were often called the Toxic Twins, for their famed consumption of stimulants as well as heroin. Their relationship is well documented in many of Aerosmith's video recordings and in the Aerosmith Behind the Music. Tyler was more committed to Aerosmith than Perry and had a resentment of Perry for his aloof attitude. Perry, on the other hand, was envious of Tyler's prioritization of women throughout his life. Aerosmith was in decline in the 1980s due to tensions between Perry and Tyler.
